Mark Johnson - Owner
Mark started plumbing in 1990. He enjoys working with his hands and the feeling he gets from helping people. An outdoorsman, Mark enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening. He shows off some of his deer and turkey trophies in his office.
A graduate of Ruston High School, Mark is married to Sharon Nicole Johnson and together they have six children. He spent a short time as a U.S. Navy Seabee before learning the plumbing trade. In 1997, he started Mark Johnson Plumbing and has watched his business grow. Specializing in new construction plumbing for many years, Mark plumbed many of the newer homes in Ruston. Several years ago Mark joined QSC - Quality Service Contractors and has focused on service and repair work since that time. This national organization for plumbing and heating and air contractors has influenced how Mark does business in many ways. With goals of honesty, exceeding customer's expectations, cleanliness, professionalism, and doing the job right the first time, Mark's desire is to be the best plumbing company in the area.
Michael Johnson - Service Manager
Michael wasn't born with a silver pipe wrench in his mouth, but he definitely grew up around plumbing! With a plumber father and grandfather, he learned the business early. Michael is married to Sarah Dendy Johnson of Bernice and they have a son, Hayden. Like his dad, Michael is also at home in the outdoors. He hunts deer and turkey and likes to fish when hunting season is closed. In addition to his hand's on training, Michael has been trained in installing and repairing tankless water heaters and installing and maintaining water filtration systems.
Philip Cardwell - Office Manager
Philip retired from teaching English at Simsboro but had to find something to keep him busy. He started working part time for Mark Johnson Plumbing in 2009 and moved to full time two years later. Philip enjoys working in his yard and garden. He also stays busy entertaining his four grandchildren.
Patience Coon - Customer Service Representative
Patience Coon is a retired banker with twenty-plus years. After retiring, she taught children with special needs and owned a trucking company for ten years. The mother of two young men, Patience has seven grandchildren she loves spending time with. She also enjoys working in her yard, reading, and fishing.
Andy Null - Inventory Specialist
Andy retired from working in the plumbing supply industry after 39 years of service. He then came on board with Mark Johnson Plumbing to assist in managing the inventory and to help the technicians keep daily needed materials stocked on their trucks. Andy has lived his entire life in Ruston and has been married for thirty-three years to Mary, a teacher, educator, and supervisor for the Lincoln Parish School System. In his free time Andy enjoys playing golf, practicing with a local rock-n-roll band, and fishing for bass in local ponds.
Kary Carroll - Licensed Journeyman Plumber
Kary always wanted to work in some type of construction area and plumbing made that happen. He has 19 years of plumbing experience. Married with five children, Kary enjoys hunting, fishing, scuba diving, and spending time with his family. A certified scuba diver, Kary has dove in Cancun, Jamaica, and Florida.
John Johnson - Licensed Journeyman Plumber
John also grew up in Ruston and has been helping in the plumbing business for about as long as he can remember. John is a proud graduate of Cedar Creek School.
Dax Dendy - Licensed Journeyman Plumber
Dax ,38 years old, who has lived his entire life in Bernice. Dax grew up learning the trade of plumbing from his Dad. In the year of 1996, when Dax was just 19 years old, his Dad decided they would start a plumbing business where Dax worked 14 years along side his dad. Dax worked all over from Shreveport to Zwolle doing commercial and residential plumbing. Dax is excited to return to a trade he enjoys so much. Dax has been married to Angie Horton Dendy for 17 years . Dax and Angie have 3 children Madi Reese ,Tyler and Hunter. Dax enjoys the outdoors with his family, hunting and fishing with his children, as well as fishing bass tournaments when he can catch a little free time. He loves attending the games to cheer on his children playing the sports they love. He and his family attend church at Pisgah Baptist Church in Bernice.
Quinn Wall - Licensed Journeyman Plumber
Quinn, a believer in Jesus Christ, loves spending time away from work with his lovely wife Kelli and his two beautiful young boys - Wesson and Wyatt. An avid outdoors-man, Quinn enjoys spending time in God's great creation. He has been plumbing in North Louisiana for almost ten years.
Byron Gray - Apprentice
Byron Gray graduated from Simsboro High School in 2001. He worked at IIG for about ten years and at House of Rayford in Arcadia. Byron enjoys being outside and specializes in detailing vehicles. We welcome Byron to the Mark Johnson Plumbing team.
Christopher Cook - Apprentice
Christopher Cook is from Athens, LA. Outside of work, church and family are the biggest parts of his life. His hobbies include deer hunting, turkey hunting, trapping, fishing, and camping. Christopher’s goals are to learn everything he can about plumbing, become a licensed plumber, and raise and support a family.
Hagan Miller - Apprentice
After working on the family farm, Hagan started plumbing right out of high school. Married to Samantha Primmer Miller of Ruston, Hagan and Samantha have a son, Brogan, and a daughter Blakelyn. When he’s not at work, Hagan enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoys being in the outdoors – either hunting or fishing.
K C Allen - Apprentice
K C is married with two children. He has lived in Ruston for 30 years. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, and splitting firewood to sell. K C believes the best part of every job is learning something new. He enjoys going home to his wife and kids everyday.
